Booking & Cancellation Policy

These terms and conditions are subject to change and apply to all of our services.

By accessing, browsing, using and/or booking through our website, you acknowledge and agree that you have read, understand and agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions set forth below. No contract between the customer and GoExploreWith.me will come into effect until GoExploreWith.me has received full payment and issued a confirmation invoice. The customer making the booking accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of all members of their travel party and is responsible for payment in full.

Bookings

Bookings may be made directly through GoExploreWith.me, its sub-brands and/or any other website through which GoExploreWith.me makes its services available. If you have any problems making a reservation through the GoExploreWith.me website, please contact our Customer Service.

We reserve the right to change the itinerary and/or schedule if necessary due to adverse weather or other related conditions. GoExploreWith.me is not responsible for expenses and/or other related costs resulting from factors beyond its control, such as flight delays, changes and or cancellations, injuries, weather, war, natural disasters, etc. and/or other unforeseeable matters. You are responsible for providing GoExploreWith.me with correct contact information and related details so that we can keep you informed in the event of changes made to the services you have booked.

Prices

Please note that all prices for services provided by GoExploreWith.me and its sub-brands are in United States dollars (USD). GoExploreWith.me is not responsible for currency fluctuations and or additional charges beyond its control that may apply, such as wire transfer fees, credit card fees, etc.

All payments are made in US dollars (USD). You can see estimated prices in other currencies on our site. This is just to help you understand the approximate price. Your credit card will always be charged in USD. We also make refunds in USD. Since GoExploreWith.me does not charge any booking or transaction fees, we cannot be held responsible for any losses resulting from currency fluctuations during the transaction or any third party transaction fees that may occur at the time of payment and/or refund. Please note that your card issuer may charge you an international transaction fee.

All prices listed on our website are based on current prices. All prices listed on our website include Costa Rican VAT. GoExploreWith.me reserves the right to change or modify already published prices on the website without prior notice in the event of currency fluctuations, government taxes or any such cost increases that are beyond GoExploreWith.me’s control. Prices are guaranteed without any surcharges after invoicing, unless the increase is due to government regulations or currency fluctuations and amounts to 5% of the tour price or more. Amounts in excess of 5% will be charged and customers will have the right to cancel with a full refund if the surcharge exceeds 10%. Any increases due to changes in government regulations, i.e. tax changes, will be added to the invoice.

Special offers and promotional codes

Please note that special offers such as promotional codes cannot be applied to a reservation after a purchase has been made such as in the form of a refund. When offered, promotional codes and/or other special offers, must be entered into the relevant field located on the payment page upon check out at the time of booking in order to be valid and applied.

Please note that all special offers such as promotional codes and/or early bird discount only apply to the price of the tour. Extras and rental gear are not subject to discount. Early bird discount is applied to the final price of the tour, if a special offer/promotional code is used, the early bird discount applies to the discounted price (full price less special offer/promotional code).

Terms of payment

GoExploreWith.me accepts all major credit and debit cards. Purchases made with a credit/debit card will go through partners such as Stripe, or PayPal. We also accept payments in cryptocurrencies and via bank transfer. For local customers and additional purchases during the trip, we can also accept USD cash payments. GoExploreWith.me requires payment in full before the expedition begins.

Cancellation policy

All cancellation fees held by GoExploreWith.me are intended solely to cover our direct costs of changing and/or cancelling your reservation. By accessing, viewing, using and/or making a reservation through our website, you acknowledge and agree that you have read, understand and agree to be legally bound by the cancellation policy as set forth below. No contract between the customer and GoExploreWith.me will come into effect until GoExploreWith.me has received full payment and issued a confirmation invoice. The customer making the booking accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of all members of his/her travel group and is responsible for payments due from the entire group.

All communications related to these terms and conditions (especially any requests to cancel or change tour arrangements) must come from the primary traveler of each booking. All correspondence regarding bookings should be addressed to the e-mail address: [email protected]. Once the request is delivered, changes and/or cancellations must be confirmed by GoExploreWith.me before further action is taken. If a refund is approved, it will follow all procedures and be processed as soon as possible, and the specified amount will be transferred to the same credit card used for the reservation. Please note that we are not responsible for any delays in the delivery of the refund to your account once it has been processed by us. For tours purchased through a third-party supplier, please contact the supplier directly to request a refund and/or cancellation.

Cancellation fees and charges

As we begin to bear the costs of organizing the expedition as soon as the contract is confirmed, we will apply cancellation fees in accordance with the following rules from the moment we receive written notice of cancellation:

  • cancellation more than 90 days from the scheduled date – refund of the amount paid, less a $100 booking fee.
  • cancellation less than 90 days from the scheduled date – refund of the amount paid, less a $1,000 reservation fee.
  • cancellation less than 30 days from the scheduled date – no refund of the amount paid.

The above cancellation policy is designed to ensure the high quality of our services and to maintain the high level of trust we have with our partners. Therefore, please make your booking decisions thoughtfully and if you have any questions, please contact our team.

Pick-up and drop-off services

GoExploreWith.me offers pick-up and drop-off services for some of our tours. Please read the tour description carefully to see if pick-up and drop-off services are included, can be added as an extra, or if the activity only offers the option to meet us on site.

You, as the traveler, are responsible for the pickup, this includes providing GoExploreWith.me with the pickup location at the time, and being ready at the appropriate pickup time for your tour. GoExploreWith.me will provide you with pickup time information on the voucher that is provided to you at the time of booking. If you are not sure when you should be ready for your scheduled tour, please contact our Customer Service.

Please note that missing the pick-up does not entitle you to a refund of the price paid for services. You are responsible for being ready to be picked up at the designated location from the start of your pick-up time, so that you do not miss our guides when they come to pick you up.

Meeting at the starting point

If you plan to meet us at the starting point of the tour then make sure that this can be arranged. For most GoExploreWith.me tours it is possible to meet us on site. Please read the tour description carefully to see if meeting us on site is possible for your activity. Please note that for some tours this is not possible. If you are not sure which tours this applies to, please contact our Customer Service.

You, as the traveler, are responsible for arriving on time at the meeting point for the tour. This means being ready at the right time at the right place. GoExploreWith.me will provide you with the meeting place information for your tour on the confirmation that is provided when you book. If you are not sure when to arrive for your scheduled tour, please contact us.

Please note that if you do not arrive on time for the tour and/or are late to the tour meeting point, the tour may start without you and then you are not entitled to a refund.

Travel insurance

Each participant is required to have travel insurance that covers the area where the tour takes place and the type of activity practiced. GoExploreWith.me does not offer individual insurance unless otherwise stated in the tour description and on the booking confirmation. Our team can advise you on the right insurance, contact us about it.

Training activity during expeditions, that is, participation in the diving course, is covered by the insurance of the lead instructor. However, it is important to understand that recreational diving, even under the guidance of an instructor or guide, is not a training activity and is not protected by the instructor’s insurance.

Damage or loss of luggage

Please note that GoExploreWith.me is not responsible for damaged luggage that is taken on a tour. You take all items at your own risk, accepting the risk of damage or loss. This also applies to any electronics, specialized equipment and personal diving gear you take with you on the expedition. That’s why we suggest you buy adequate insurance to cover any losses.

Weather and other variable conditions

All tours and outdoor activities are subject to weather and general conditions. GoExploreWith.me reserves the right to change itineraries, schedules and departure times or cancel tours without prior notice, keeping your safety in mind if necessary.

GoExploreWith.me is not responsible for any loss, damage, accident, injury, illness, rescheduling or any other damage caused by weather, strikes, natural disasters or other causes beyond our control. GoExploreWith.me always acts in good faith and cannot be held responsible for failures or delays of the organization as individual agencies, hotels, other tour operators, airlines, guides, restaurants or any other person or company.

In the event of any changes to flights (domestic and international), the passenger is responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of these changes (i.e., additional hotel nights, meals, transfers, etc.), within the time provided. We therefore recommend that all customers carry comprehensive travel insurance for all eventualities.

Assumed risk and outdoor activities

All customers must be aware that all activities are undertaken entirely at their own risk and must behave in an appropriate manner at all times as directed by GoExploreWith.me or its partners and must take appropriate responsibility for their own safety. All adventure tours and outdoor activities carry inherent risks, and GoExploreWith.me or its partners are not responsible for accidents that are caused by its customers or can be attributed to their own actions or are caused by factors beyond human control (force majeure). With the purchase of a tour, you agree to these terms and conditions, understand their implications and accept responsibility for your participation in the tour. Depending on the tour, you may be asked to sign an additional liability waiver.

Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation in a tour to any client who, in their opinion, will not be able to complete the tour due to physical condition, injury or illness. In such cases, the client will be at fault for the cancellation of the tour and full cancellation fees will apply.

We reserve the right to refuse participation to clients who are physically or verbally aggressive, or if they are in any other way a danger to staff members or other travelers. In such cases, the client is at fault for the cancellation of the tour and full cancellation fees will apply.

Use of alcohol or drugs

We reserve the right to refuse participation in a tour to clients who, in our opinion, are under the influence of alcohol or drugs; no refunds will be given under such circumstances. Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation in a tour to any client whose behavior or manner may offend, annoy or endanger other passengers. In such cases, full tour cancellation fees will apply.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed exclusively by and construed in accordance with the laws of Costa Rica. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be submitted to and heard exclusively by the District Court of Perez Zeledon, Costa Rica.
