Cancellation Policy

At Go Explore With Me, we strive to provide exceptional travel experiences in Costa Rica. We understand that plans can change, and unforeseen circumstances may arise. To ensure clarity and fairness for both parties, we have established the following cancellation policy:

Booking Confirmation

Bookings: A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required prepayment. Failure to make the prepayment means no booking, regardless of any other arrangements made with company staff.

Cancellation of Tours

Cancellation Fees:

  • Up to 48 Hours Before Departure: Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure will receive a refund of the deposit, less a booking fee of $50 per person.
  • Less Than 48 Hours Before Departure: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled departure are non-refundable..
Modifications and Rescheduling

Changes to Bookings: Requests to modify or reschedule a booking are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss any changes.

Company Cancellations

Right to Cancel: Go Explore With Me reserves the right to cancel tours or activities due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, safety concerns, or insufficient participants. In such cases, customers will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

No-Shows

Failure to Attend: Failure to attend a scheduled tour or activity without prior notice will be considered a no-show, and no refunds will be issued.

Absence from a Tour Due to Personal Choice or Health Issues

Participating in outdoor and adventure activities involves certain physical demands, and we strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests. However, some tours—especially boat trips, scuba diving, snorkeling, and ATV adventures—may cause mild discomfort, such as motion sickness, fatigue, or minor health issues. If you choose not to fully participate in the tour due to personal discomfort, seasickness, or other mild health concerns, please note that we are unable to provide refunds.

Liability and Travel Insurance

While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure safe and enjoyable experiences, participation in any tour is done at the guest’s own risk. Go Explore With Me and its affiliates do not accept responsibility for any injuries, health-related issues, or financial losses incurred due to a participant’s inability to complete a tour.

Recommendation: We highly recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers:

  • Personal injury and medical expenses – In the event of unexpected health issues or accidents.
  • Trip cancellations and curtailments – Protection in case of last-minute cancellations due to illness or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Lost or damaged personal belongings – Especially for those bringing valuable equipment such as cameras or diving gear.
